St. Gallen Textilmuseum

Do you remember that feeling you would get as a child when you walked into a toy store or a candy shop? Walking through the St. Gallen Textilmuseum gave me a similar feeling. A museum dedicated solely to textiles? YES, PLEASE! Inside the library were hundreds of books containing samples of all these different textiles and embroideries and beaded fabrics. There were old costumes and royal dresses, children’s wear, dolls, hats and uniforms. Although everything was in Swiss-German, we couldn’t seem to leave! The artistry of all the pieces kept us well-entertained. Visiting the museum was definitely the reassurance I needed for my plans to pursue fashion someday, and I cannot wait!
